The mounted projector would make a world of difference in our classroom. We use the SMARTBoard often to have hands-on learning experiences through technology, which is very important in today's day and age. We also have a brand new math curriculum that utilizes the math curriculum. Currently, the projector is on a wheeled cart that moves from the wall to the carpet. This not only takes away seating, but can be very dangerous for the students who could trip over all the cords causing harm to the projector itself or even worse, the student. The current projector is also easily moved. One little nudge and the entire SMARTBoard needs to be reset. Students at the first-grade level are very fidgety and so this happens often. Having the correct projector and it being mounted would allow for safer and more effective learning for the students who love any chance they get to use technology, especially the SMARTBoard.
This project will help the students to be safer when using technology.
They will no longer be tripping over cords. The mounted projector is also wheelchair friendly. It will be more effective, as we will not have to stop instruction constantly to re-align the SMARTBoard. The students love using technology and this projector would really improve our classroom making it safer and more accessible to all students with diverse needs.
