Pre-k students are often mesmerized by technology. In order to push my scholars to not just watch technology, but to interact with it in a way that drives their learning, I need Chromebooks. The Chromebooks will be used for computer literacy such as typing and clicking and dragging skills. These skills will influence their testing abilities on computer-based tests that will be administered in kindergarten. The Chromebooks will also be used to provide individualized instruction that target each students' needs through educational platforms such as ABCmouse, Starfall and SmartyAnts. Engaging scholars in educational games on the Chromebook will help them invest in their learning goals in a fun and innovative way.
