These tablets will allow students to use QR codes to access instructions for daily class work. By simply scanning QR codes, the classroom moves from teacher centered to student centered. Students gain independence in the classroom and are able to work effectively and efficiently without waiting for instructions from the teacher. Students are also able to access hundreds of audio books, something that is very hard for young first graders to find on their own. Listening to books promotes fluency in their own reading as well.
These tablets will also be used to introduce coding activities to GT and other interested students in the class.
