We use our senses to explore our world. Our sense of sight is most frequently used to learn through observation. Most of us visualize pictures in our minds when thinking about a topic. These pictures have been placed there through the learning process. Our students are learning to read, gain and expand vocabulary as well as key concepts. Therefore, our environment needs to be literate rich with many visuals. These visuals should capture our students' attention so they may look to them for reference and solidify concepts/vocabulary in their minds. Our school has only one color printer to share with a staff of 60. This simply is not adequate since we run out of color ink constantly. We intend to use the color ink to help the demand that is needed in our building for ours students. We would use the cardstock and laminating sheets to create posters, diagrams, and labels to be used within the classroom and within the building.
