Our district is focusing on Guided Reading which will individualize instruction for each student. We spend lots of time working in small groups. Small groups can increase students' reading levels and comprehension. Students will also spend time in pairs reading together. Utilizing Chromebooks allows each child to learn at his or her own pace. Listening to stories and following along with the words will increase my students' fluency. In addition, there are hundreds of educational games and resources online for students that will be perfect for centers. Students can learn phonics, practice math facts, take assessments, the list is endless!
