The Hobbit is a tale of high adventure that is perfect for my 7th graders! Students who read high engagement novels find reading fun and begin to read for enjoyment! Helping students learn that reading is fun is the perfect way to build better readers. With this novel, students will be exposed to the writing of a classic author. Students will explore the Hero's Journey and learn new vocabulary on a daily basis. My students enjoy reading fantasy books so I am sure they will enjoy this one. I have also asked for the teacher guide so that I can explore new ideas on how to teach this novel.
