In the past my students have had to use cardboard book bins that easily fall apart. These book bins will allow students to carry as many books as their heart desires without breaking. Not to mention they will be used for future students as well! The purpose of the books bins is to encourage a love for reading in all students. We want them to book shop for "just right books" while selecting a variety of genres. Students will also keep sticky notes, a reading journal, and writing utensils in their book bins. During independent reading time, students take their book bins to their reading spot and begin working on their stamina!
