Hi everyone!
I'm an elementary special education teacher in Iowa City, Iowa. My classroom is classified as a Level 2/3 "Modified" program, which means that my students receive a high degree of services and supports each day at school. Another names for a Modified special education programs is "Severe/Profound".
I am entering the 5th year of my teaching career. I have always taught in Level 2/3 classrooms, but this year will be different because I will be teaching much younger students with different disabilities; in the past, I taught 4th-6th grade-aged children with Behavior disabilities and now I will be teaching Kindergarten-2nd grade students with physical, academic, and behavior challenges.
I'm so excited to enter a new professional phase and I want to personally thank you for stopping by my page!
