When students are given diverse choices to read and also are given engaging choices to practice reading skills, students are motivated and excited to read. With resources such as iPads, students will be fully immersed in practicing their reading in many different ways. At such a pivotal age, technology can add that extra support and excitement to these ESL, high poverty students. In the past, reading has been considered a chore and not a fun activity. I hope to use this technology to wipe away that negative connotation and create an enjoyable reading environment. Please help me help them succeed!
