I consider myself a fun and engaging teacher that loves to get down and dirty with my little ones. We love to explore and do hands-on activities. My kiddos love to work with technology and use reading software programs that aid is their learning of phonological skills and development.
I teach in a Title 1 school with majority of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch based on household income. I have an average of 24 kiddos in my class and the lack of supplies, such as headphones, independent practice activities, and other classroom supplies often make it difficult for me to give my students the best opportunity to learn and compete with their peers. Incorporating these classroom supplies into our daily activities will help the students stay engaged and allow me more opportunities to differentiate activities for the various levels and learning styles.
