Donations will provide students with the necessary supplies to be successful in the classroom. Most of my students rarely have the school supplies that they need, so the donations will alleviate any excuses for not completing assignments. These items typically include pencils, filler paper, folders and or binders, and note cards (to make flash cards). In addition, some of the items in the cart will be used for required technology integration into the curriculum. As you can see from the cart, I am asking for a lot of basic stuff here, but getting the items in this cart will provide numerous opportunities for students to be academically successful, which is not so basic! I believe all students can learn, and having adequate amounts of various classroom supplies can help facilitate that learning. Many items in the cart will be used for note taking, writing assignments, presentations (both verbal and visual), student work portfolios, graphic organizers, flash cards, guided study notes, diagrams, novel graffiti journals, foldables, and the like. The headphones will be used when the students are working on the school required learning platforms such as Fish Tree (C) and iStation (C). They will also be used when the students are working on the digital assignments I set up for them, such as listening to audio books on Audible (C), viewing videos that relate to the day's lesson, and listening to audio versions of their science books while viewing the content in their online interactive textbooks. Folders will be used by students to organize and turn in class work.
