My class is filled with students with a variety of different capabilities. They all share the same desire to grow academically and need a variety of ways to help them. Most of our activities have to be accompanied by manipulatives and visual aids and the materials requested will assist us in providing this.
The requested materials will assist the students in improving their reading skills and give them the confidence and motivation to continue growing. The tablets will assist the students when working independently. They can sit at their desks and read interactive stories and play academic games to assist them with letter sounds, letter blends, sight words, and hopefully reading short stories independently. The Dr. Seuss books with accompanying disks will allow them to read along and build their reading abilities by hearing the correct pronunciation of the words while also seeing the spelling of each word. The vocabulary quiz game will assist them in reviewing words they are already familiar with while also teaching them new words to add to their word bank. The sound match activity will assist them in learning and reviewing beginning sounds and words that begin with a specific sound.
There is already an allotted amount of time set aside for the students to use these materials during the school day, both individually and in small groups. A safe storage space has also been made to keep the items secured and in working condition for a long time! Thank you in advance for supporting us!
