I have 18 eager Kindergartners who come to school each day. They are happy and bright boys and girls. The district has provided math and reading software, but my computers are old and outdated. I have 2 Dell desktops (one crashes almost every day) and a laptop. The district expects students to become computer literate but the computers are very ineffective.
I work with every child in small groups every day, focusing on reading and math skills with reading in the morning and math in the afternoon. It would be great if the students had Kindles and headphones to use. I would do a rotation so each child would have computer time each day. The computers could enhance their reading and math skills. I can only imagine how the students would benefit from this technology.
