Our young Scientist need seven Chromebooks in order to conduct science investigations and to write science reports. Students love to conduct research on their own and find very creative ways to present their learning.
Students work independently and are highly engaged when they use modern technology. Some students do not have access to the internet outside of school. The opportunity for students to have access to the internet in school allows all students to have access to the content they need in order to thrive. At the middle school level, research skills are very critical and using technology for this development prepares them for a successful future. Having Chromebooks in the classroom would provide a way for students to build presentations such as Google slides and we would also be able to communicate via email. It is surprising how many students have never sent an email.
