My school is located in City Heights, a low socioeconomic area. Our school is made up 72 % English Language Learners. This means their reading, speaking, and writing in English needs multiple supports. The students come to class with a smile and eagerness to learn. Many want to be there and want to engage in the work. This year students are in their last year of elementary school, so they have an excitement and nervousness as to what comes next. It is my hope they will be ready for this next step.
