Support Mrs. Afragola's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My kindergarteners love to wiggle, shake and show off their dance moves! We have been using "Go Noodle" to get moving but it's hard to watch on a small computer screen, sometimes we are lucky enough to borrow a projector! "Mrs. A can we get our own projector for our dance breaks?" They had such a good idea, it would make things much easier! They like to watch dance videos and follow along with the moves. We need an Epson projector on a cart with speakers and hdmi cable in our classroom for our daily brain and "Go Noodle" dance breaks. The breaks will be split up during the day, but having our own projector will give us ample opportunity for dancing, shaking and moving. My students will get the opportunity to get up and move for 60 minutes of the day starting right when they come in to school! How cool is that!?
The yoga ball and iPad will be used in stations as well to enhance movement with music and bouncing!
My students can use the iPad while they are working to play quiet music as they bounce on the iPad, practice yoga moves or learn on the iPad while bouncing about. Either way they will be moving and learning. What a way to learn! My students will be so excited to have their ideas be fulfilled and I will enjoy them learning through movement!
The more you move, the better you can focus on learning! Kindergarteners can't wait to get moving and grooving with their new projector to watch dance videos and wiggle on their stool while learning on the iPad. My students said, "Please get us something to help us move more!" So this is my start, can't wait to see their faces!
