I have been teaching at my school for 14 years now. I love East Boston, it is near the airport and symbolic of the many different groups that have established community here--including my own family that reaches back 4 generations. Most students here are low-income. Many families are first or second generation. My students Boston is an amazing place to teach. I am proud to be part of a district that leads the country for urban education. Budget cuts can be challenging and the generosity of donors on Donors' Choose is deeply appreciated.
