More than half of students from low鈥慽ncome households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education.
The children I teach are all reading below state mandated grade level standards. They come to my trailer each day to work on the skills needed to make gains in literacy and catch up to their peers. We work on a variety of literacy activities.
My students love to work with their groupmates on collaborative learning and literacy activities! But, my classroom is an outside unit and I have found that when given choices on where to sit and work with partners they rarely choose to sit on the bare tile floor. I would like to be able to offer my students better choices and flexible seating options. The stools will help my wiggly readers stay focused!
We are also in need of one more student iPad. Last year we had 3, but this year are down to one. We like to use technology to maintain online journals and for vocabulary reviews, along with other activities.
