I teach in a rural school in South Carolina that is located in a high poverty area and provides a free full-day Montessori program for all children who register ages 3, 4, and 5. Over 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. My children are very eager to learn and curious about the natural world around them. They enjoy hands-on lessons and experiences that teach them about all subjects. We are working to build a love of reading and writing in them and will use these big books to help foster a love of literacy in our students!
