The opportunity and ability for each child to have their own copy of a favorite book is very powerful. During our after school book club we will be creating projects surrounding the first Harry Potter book and will also be reading it together. Students will be able to take and keep a copy of the book at home when our club is over.
This is an excellent opportunity to help children transition from short stories and picture books to chapter books at an early age with a beloved tale. Students will improve reading comprehension and develop a love of reading.
