1 in 20 students are affected by a sensory processing disorder. We have a sensory room only available for a few students, but a sensory pathway outside would benefit ALL. All students need effective 鈥渂rain breaks鈥 in order to maintain concentration and efficiency in the classroom. A sensory pathway would be available for all students to use at any time of the day. This effective, research based tool will allow students to concentrate better in the classroom, strengthen sensory skills, and help them succeed at school. It would provide an outlet, not just for special needs鈥 students, but for every student to get their 鈥渨iggles鈥 out.
