My students are great children who happen to live in an impoverished community. They are inquisitive and full of energy each and every day. They come with a bit of baggage, but are learning to not let that be a crutch for them. My school has an amazing culture and climate for learning. We are definitely a diamond in the rough, so to speak. We have a student population of 507, of which 99% are low-income/at risk. Our brilliance is shone in our classrooms through our students embracing technology.
