Our school has a very unusual mix of students. Some are from a rural area while others are from a suburban community and others are from a village. We also have middle class students and students that come from economically disadvantaged homes. Another aspect is that we have students that come from migrant homes and children of immigrants, mainly Ukrainian. Our school relies on over 50% of its budget from state aide. This means as teachers, we can not get all the materials, furniture, etc. that we would like to have. All children can benefit from materials that are usually given to students with the highest need because of a lack of funds.
