My students are enthusiastic emergent multilinguals! They have come to the United States from all over the world- China, Brazil, India, Vietnam, Honduras, Syria etc.- and speak more than 19 different languages!
My classroom is where they get support in learning to speak, understand, read, and write in English.
Lincoln Hancock is a Title 1 school and the students in my class face many challenges, such as poverty, more than half of our students come from low-income households. Despite these challenges they are always willing to persevere and try their best!
