Art projects help my students with special needs work on their academic skills and fine-motor skills simultaneously. Art projects also help my students with their creative thinking skills while learning about different colors, shapes and textures.
My students are yearning to express themselves. However, due to their disabilities most of my students are not able to express themselves through writing or speaking, but are able to express themselves through art. Art is a language that we can all speak. Together we can make a difference in the lives of these children.
