We start our day by singing a" Good Morning "We gather on the rug and greet each other with a smile. I ask " Are you going to make to a great day?" Yes we are" they say. I have a sweet and kind kindergarten class. Additionally, they are very bright, creative and inquisitive. They love to learn, especially when it's hands-on. Some of their favorite activities are learning about animals and P.E. Another favorite activity is building with Legos. My students also love to read about Dinosaurs .My class is a mix of English learners and regular English speakers. The majority of students are from military families where one or more parents are active duty . Many times parents are deployed oversees for long periods of time serving our country. Many of these students receive free and reduced lunch. Our school is a K-5 with about 400 students and about 80% of them are military families. We are a very tight knit community.
