We have a group of about thirty kids, both boys and girls, between 6th and 8th grade. It is a very mix group based on personality and academic excellence. I have learned how much a club brings students together by working with these students. The students that never talk to anybody during the school day seem to feel more included by being a part of the group. I really like to see these students open up to their peers in a different setting. As for our school, it is small and fairly new. This is the first year that we have had 6th-8th grade in the middle school. The classes are small and we are very much connected to our parents and making sure that they are a part of their students academic career. I hope to keep this club running because it allows me the opportunity to really build good relationships with different students around the school.
