Our school is located in a rural city outside of a larger city. Our county does not have a lot of sales revenue and therefore, we have to be creative in finding funding for extras like technology. The community and parental support we have from our town is amazing and vital to student success. I have 18 students in my class who are eager to learn and very intrigued with learning through technology. At this age, I feel that they are like sponges, soaking up all we have to offer. They respond well and learn so much by using technology, especially the small iPad that they are able to hold in their hands.
