Our school district has been completely virtual so far this year. Most students have siblings who are also learning from home and/or telecommuting parents, making for noisy households filled with distractions. Students often struggle to hear lessons. When they unmute to participate in class, the background noise drowns out what they say, causing frustration and, for some, embarrassment.
The headphones with microphones will help students interact with the teacher and classmates, drown out background noise, and optimize the ability to hear lessons and videos being presented, while having an iPad and pencil will allow me to meaningfully assist students, annotate their work, and provide feedback – all of which is extremely difficult to navigate with a mouse.
An iPad and Pencil will also help me to better model during lessons and replicate what students would see with face to face learning and instruction.
