Growing up in Alaska, I got to experience firsthand the magic and menace of The Last Great Race. I want to gift this experience to my students! Woodsong by Gary Paulsen is a firsthand account of his experience running the Iditarod. My students will use this book as a gateway to concepts in language arts, science, history and mathematics! This book might also be just what some of my more reluctant yet inquisitive readers need to ignite their passion for the page! Your donation will give my students the gift of a world very different than their own full of new experiences, new challenges, and new perspectives.
