My students come from a community that strives for the ultimate success of the students. Many of the students are in the low economic bracket and would benefit from the exposure to science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We are a Title 1 school and all of our students receive free lunch. Our school recently added a STEAM class but lacks enough resources for our low-income students who do not have access to the curriculum that I will assemble on Google Classroom. I would love to expose these students to many more opportunities and programs such as Code.org, Hopscotch, Scratch Jr. and others, but it is difficult when we have such limited resources. Hands-on opportunities are a must in order to ignite the curiosity and imagination to build the jobs of tomorrow. I am asking for iPads for our STEAM class to aid us in coding and robotics.
