My school is a located in a rural, low income area. Over 90% of the students are free and reduced lunch. The students have a desire to learn. However, the shortfalls in our school budget don't allow for my students to have the technological advances which schools in other parts of the state have access. Our classroom lacks many of the things you typically see in classrooms today. We do not have a smart board, an LCD projector, a document camera, or working student computers. This makes our weekly visits to the computer lab very exciting. However, without working headphones, the effectiveness of the computer lab is lacking.
