During a recent training for distance learning, I watched as my instructor manipulated her iPad Pro to project texts on the Promethean. She then continued to make annotations directly on the text as she explained how we could utilize the iPad to show our students step-by-step instructions. She was able to highlight, circle, and draw right onto the text.
Due to these unprecedented times, teachers are being challenged to make quick changes to how they present their curriculum. Currently, we are receiving training on educational tools and programs to use for distance learning. With an iPad, I will be able to host WebEx meetings with my students, teach through Google Classroom, and access all of our school platforms. The app Notability (available on the iPad) will allow me to record and replay audio, synced to my writing. This will help the students learning from home, by making my lessons very clear and easy to follow.
I am experimenting with educational technology to augment my students' learning. This iPad will allow me to best interact with all the different learners that make up my class and to help them to become successful.
