COVID-19 has brought about educational impacts teachers never could've imagined. To help close learning gaps created, intervention materials have been purchased in my district and results are being seen. Intervention materials alone cannot produce readers; readers need to be reading. These enjoyable series of books will directly correlate with the intervention programs being administered at my school and a continued love of reading will be built upon with these resources.
More kids learning to read means more kids are reading to learn! The mundane and daunting task of struggling readers learning to read with intense intervention in place can be solidified and an enjoyable process of learning to read will be embedded with this engaging, interactive, and decodable text.
