Students will finally return to the classroom for in-person learning after more than a year of virtual learning. What a challenge it has been! Now more than ever, teachers must use the tools and resources given to us to provide a quality education to our students.
Because funding for our schools is limited, it is essential that teachers use all resources possible to meet the needs of our diverse student population. Many of my students are at risk and disadvantaged. They need extra supports and interventions put into place to help them succeed. This is especially important to address the learning gaps of these at-risk students and to allow them the best opportunity to receive a quality education as their peers.
This Smart TV that is being asked for will be used to address the needs of my special learners. Currently in the science classroom is a small 40 inch TV that most students in the classroom cannot see (especially those sitting at the back of the classroom). With a Smart TV, my auditory and visual learners will have a full learning science experience and can learn alongside their peers to be successful. The wall mount for the Smart TV will be mounted so it is visible to every student in the classroom for full visibility. It is also a secure way to mount the Smart TV so that it is a secure and permanent fixture in the classroom. Both of these items will promote conducive learning spaces for not only the at-risk and disadvantaged population, but for all students!
