I have read about many teachers using flexible seating in their classrooms. This school year, I would love to give it a try! Flexible seating gives the students the wonderful gift of choice in order to be successful in their learning. They are given the choice to work in a spot where they are comfortable and focused. Every year my students sit on the floor, at their desk, or at the two bean bags or fun chairs I have in my classroom. I would love to give them the option of these fun seats!
I am confident these wobble chairs and comfy seats will bring the excitement of learning to my classroom. My students will be excited and engaged in their learning because they have chosen an area in the classroom where they will do their best. I think of myself as a learner. When I read and write I choose a comfortable place where I am focused and will do my best work. This is what I want for my students!
