My students love reading big books. Right now, the only place for them to safely look at the books, without damaging them, is on the floor. We have to be extra gentle with them because we have no place to store them much less read them as they should be read. When I am teaching from a big book, it takes two students to hold up the big book without the pages falling down and potentially damaging the books.
If we had a big book easel, my students would no longer have to hold up the big books or worry about damaging the big books.
