Young children learn best when engaged through meaningful, hands-on learning. Additionally, educational resources (such as the early learning toys being requested for my classroom) provide these young scientists the opportunity to (1) learn through play with high-quality educational toys, (2) gain fine motor strength needed for later writing and self-help skills, (3) engage in dramatic play while practicing storytelling and experimenting with role play.
All the resources selected would allow children to develop and practice their foundational skills in a play-based approach. Play and learning is intertwined and these additional materials in my classroom would allow my students to create meaningful connections to early academic experiences.
