Learning by role playing, exploring, and using imaginations is what a Transitional Kindergarten / Kindergarten combo class is all about. In my class my students learn by using their hands. The wonderful play items I am requesting are for our center tubs and dramatic play area. We do not have any dress-up clothes currently, and I know that would help broaden my students imaginations and curiosity. The smaller manipulative items I am requesting will be great for our center tubs in the morning when my students are just arriving to school and need to explore with their hands. Many times they are told to not touch this or that and during this time, it is all about kinesthetic play! I am gaining ten more students so the large rug with 20 dots will accomodate them much better than the velcro sit spots I currently have. It will help with learning how to sit in a circle easier than the velcro sit spots I have configured into a rectangle as well. I am a new teacher this year and I (and my sweet students) would so appreciate your support. Thank you so very much!
