I teach in a Title 1 school where all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Purchasing school supplies is difficult for many of their parents, so we typically have communal supplies that are shared. However, this upcoming school year, students must have their own materials due to COVID-19. I hope to reduce the economic burden on my students' parents and increase the efficiency of keeping supplies separate.
This project will provide learning kits for each child to use in our classroom. Children will receive labeled kits at the beginning of each academic quarter.
