STEM education is ever-changing and the expectation for my students is continually increasing. Over the last two years my students' education, like many others across the world, has been interrupted. They need additional support and scaffolding to help them achieve their goals, and they have big goals, just ask them. Care and maintenance of any STEM materials are crucial to their longevity. Because of this, I have also requested organization and maintenance materials to ensure my students the most use of these supplies.
These Sphero Indi robots have a low threshold and a high ceiling; this will help my students to build confidence through being successful quickly and be encouraged to continue exploration at a higher level. Sphero uses programmable robots and STEM kits to foster students’ creativity through discovery and play while laying the foundation for computer science and other STEM fundamentals, such as problem-solving, coding, and engineering principles.
These Indi robots will help students apply skills, such as sequencing, estimation, control, and problem-solving, as they begin a path to early cyber knowledge. Learning directional language and algorithms sets the stage for my students future learning and discovery.
