My classroom is for students with moderate to severe disabilities. I have students from grades K-5; all with different disabilities and functioning levels. I have students who are autistic, have Cerebral Palsy, Rubenstein-Taybi Syndrome, Bi-Polar disorder and some who have lower functioning IQs. I have peer tutors that come in to work with my students on different social skills. My students are the "stars" of our school. Every staff member and majority of the students know who they are and always want to talk to them. My students love coming to school and work hard at whatever task is put in front of them. They do best when following a daily routine and know what to expect each day. My students love to feel important and needed. They enjoy doing small tasks around the building to help out.
