59.4% of the students who attend my school come from socioeconomically disadvantaged homes. Access to technology at home is low and it is my job to teach them the importance of computer science, and they LOVE it!
My school is full of diverse learners and they're all eager to learn more about computer science. My students loved the Hour of Code and after attending the national CUE conference I'm ready to take my classroom beyond the Hour of Code. Engaging the population at my school in STEAM increases the likelihood of a future rich in technology.
