The materials we are requesting will allow our school to create an effective student government with an emphasis on broadcast. We need three camcorders, three tripods, five microphones, a set of backdrops, and four SD cards. The students will use these materials to make basic school announcements, create commercials for upcoming school and community events, interview community and staff members, and keep our school educated and up-to-date with neighborhood and world events.
Our school leaders will take action to keep the school and community informed in order to create change. Students will not only be broadcasting to the school, but they will also be in charge of leading important events, training, and welcoming special guests for our school and neighborhood. Students hope to create a club that will help them and their families find resources and get them more involved in our learning community.
Student government will inspire the student body to be the change for what is needed on a small to large scale, from within the classroom, to our world.
