My students will be able to use colored pictures to communicate with their teachers and peers. The goal is for my students to be able to make requests, ask for help or communicate a need, and even answer questions about the classroom lesson. They will build their language by using pictures to complete sentences such as "I want __" and "I see __".
The resources I am requesting would help me teach teach language lessons that meet the following standards:
8.PK.2 Use and expand vocabulary to describe feelings, experiences, observations and ideas.
SL.K.1b Continue a conversation through multiple exchanges.
SL.K.1a, SL.1.1a Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., listening to others and taking turns speaking about the topics and texts under discussion).
SL.1.1 Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about grade 1 topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups.
