My students come from lower economic homes. They are all second or third generation Mexican Americans, whose native language is Spanish. So on top of having learning disabilities they also had to learn English (which is difficult for them). They are the most incredible and resilient kids I have ever met! They face challenges everyday at home and at school. By supporting our classroom you are supporting their education and allowing them access to texts they may not be otherwise exposed to.
