The materials that I am requesting are materials that will make my classroom a comforting organized place so that the students feel safe and welcomed.
I am trying to set up an outer space reading corner as a reward for the students. I want the students to get engaged in reading and by providing them a reading corner, I hope to spark their interest. I have already made a canopy and some pillows for my outer space theme. From my wish list I would use the rug in the corner for the students to sit on marking it the official reading corner. I would use the Galaxy Duck tape to make boarders, to display work. I would use the blue stars, the Natural art Outer Space Canvas Prints, and tapestry to put on the wall to help motivate the students and to tie the theme together. I would use the solar system pencils as rewards.
I have also requested everyday materials that the students use but the district does not give us enough of. Any support is welcome and my students will be sure to appreciate the generosity as will I. The write and wipe thin line markers would be used by the students throughout the whole day especially in math. The brush set and fine line markers would be used for painting and making wonderful art. The pencil boxes will be used so that the students can place their pencils in and help keep their desk organized. the Dixon Pencils and the dry erase markers are materials that the students use everyday and are constantly running out. The Binders will be used as an end of the school year project. For rewards I would give them the magic pencils, Joyin Toy assortment and the emoji sharpeners and wristbands.
