Not every student has a home environment where they can function and/or learn in a way that they would be able to at school, especially here in the Bay Area. Many households have multiple families, students are sharing spaces with siblings, and shared living areas are limited.
Students will be able to set up their home space in a way to maximize their learning and create a functional learning environment. They will also be able to participate in distance learning with the basic necessities that they would normally receive in the classroom. If they don't have a desk at home, they can use a clipboard to do their work. They can also participate in distance learning with a whiteboard as well as use it to complete work when they need a break when using the computer.
I also included activities for students to be able to be outside (ie jump rope and sidewalk chalk) to encourage exercise, creativity, and allow students to take breaks from learning.
