The year is 2008 and we are in full swing on the road to the White House. How would you like to help 230 students understand the importance of the voting process and become a part of our school history? If so, here is your opportunity.
I am currently a fifth grade teacher in a very rural K-8 school. We have 230 enrolled students, and our poverty index is around 48%. Our parents are mostly blue collar workers who are struggling to find employment in the area. As a school, our funding is limited due to our poor economic status within our state.
