Having a dramatic play area that is a grocery store will help my students learn about what it means to be a consumer. It will also help them learn about workers within our community, such as the people that work at the grocery store. As my students play in the center, they will be buying food, learning about math to pay for the food, take on the role of a grocery stalker, and take on the role of a cashier. I believe my students will benefit tremendously from this experience.
